“reverence”

There is only one greek word translated as reverence in the New Testament (HCSB) –  eulabeia, which is covered in its own study here.

Nevertheless, for the KJV-only crowd, there are three more greek words that are translated as reverence:reverence:

Spoiler alert: None of the above uses of the word reverence, and therefore, no use of reverence in the KJV or HCSB are used in any way pertaining to a leader in the local assembly. There is no scriptural basis in the New Testament for any teaching that insists upon any member of the Ekklesia being shown reverence. What then is the basis for any leader using the title “Reverend”?
